World War II Sci-Tech Quiz
Task Three
Taking the information from the articles and the quiz, choose a form of technology that has had an impact on a war that the United States was involved in. Your task is to write up a speech that explains, analyzes, shows how your chosen form of technology impacted a specific war, and explains why you chose that form of technology. The speech should be around 2 minutes and will be given in front of the class.
You must include an introductory statement, your reason for choosing the technology that you did, and how it affected a specific war. Conclude with a summary of the points you have made.
This is an opportunity to practice your public speaking abilities as well as articulating verbally the point you are trying to make. An example topic would be the impact of the atomic bomb on World War II and how it brought a rapid conclusion to the war (you cannot use this topic in your speech). Outside resources are encouraged and do not feel limited by only the resources in Task Two, they are there to help you think and stimulate ideas. Speeches will take place after the completion of our WebQuest unit.
